C2 – PLM Seminar & Workshop
In the second Training activity , held in Ege University between the dates 5-9 December 2016, master and PhD students from different departments of Ege University Faculty of Engineering were trained. This Training focused on raising the awareness of post graduate students about “Product Lifecycle Management” (PLM).
Post graduate students from different departments ( Mechanical, Food, Electric-Electronic, Chemistry and Textile) of the Faculty of Engineering were provided with theoretical and practical trainings about PLM. Students were given the chance to get to know different softwares in this subject during the PLM training for 5 days.
In the scope of the Training activity programme; Andreas Eiden from TU-Kaiserslautern gave information about technical organisation im PLM subject and applications of ARAS Software in PLM. Sinan Uğurlu and Christian Nigischer from TU-Wien introduced “Teamcenter”, PLM sortware of Siemens and gave information about its integration with 3D printer. At the same time, Ege University teaching staff members and students from different disciplines realised the product design, process planning and prototype production.
In the scope of this workshop process optimisation was realised since the students designed the product in 3D and prototype of the product was produced in two laboratories in Ege University. In the last session of the Training, Sadık Dinler from CMS Company contributed to the Training by giving examples about applicationf of PLM in the industry. “C2 Training Seminars on Product Lifecycle Management /December 5 – 9, 2016, Izmir, Turkey”
